One of the biggest problems in Hungarian education is considered by László Lovász, mathematician and former president of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, to be that children must compete for better schools at an increasingly early age. He believes that the current system puts too much pressure on students, while most talents cannot be assessed at such a young age.
